Coltsfoot

Tussilago farfara, commonly known as coltsfoot, is a perennial herbaceous plant in the Asteraceae family notable for its bright yellow, dandelion-like flowers that appear early in spring before the large, heart-shaped leaves develop. It has a low-growing habit with creeping rhizomes that help it spread quickly in disturbed soils, roadsides, and damp areas. It can spread vigorously! 

Coltsfoot thrives in moist, nutrient-rich soils and prefers full sun to partial shade, commonly found in temperate regions.
