Milk Thistle

Milk Thistle is a striking biennial or annual plant with large spiky leaves patterned with white lines. It grows to around 1.5m tall root at the nodes, forming dense mats that can cover large areas. Milk Thistle prefers well drained and poor to moderate fertile soils and full sun, but will tollerate part shade. 

Milk Thistle seeds are been used medicinally in liver conditions.
