Tibetan gentian

Tibetan gentian (Gentiana tibetica), is a striking perennial herb native to the alpine regions of Tibet. This is one of the few gentian species which will tolerate growing at lower altitudes and in UK conditions. It thrives in well-drained, rocky soils and prefers full sun to partial shade. Tibetan gentian has medicinal properties similar to other gentian species. This species has creamy white flowers. Medicinal roots may be harvested after 3 years.
